HDE Online Storage Testing Procedures

O1. Can users send documents to a specific E-mail address through the HDE Online Storage?

“Yes”, they can.

Step 1 – Login to your HDE Online Storage User Console –

https://upload.hdedrive.com/ui/your.domain/upload

  1. Click on “Send”
  2. Select a file that is needed to be sent.
  3. An automatic password is generated, this password will be used by the recipient to retrieve the file.
  4. Set a time limit for the file, which will not be available upon expiration.
  5. Click on “Upload”

Step 2 – Send the download URL and the password to the recipient.

After clicking “Upload”, the system will generate a message content with the download URL as well as the password as shown below:

You can now deliver the download URL and the decrypt password to the user. Please keep the password safe so that only the desired recipients can access the files.

O2. Can the recipients successfully retrieve the file using the password?

“Yes”, they can.

Step 1 – Go to the download URL link.

You will be prompted to enter a password.

Step 2 – Download and access the information

After entering the correct password, you will be able to download and access the protected information and files.
